MERI Alumni Talk Series
The MERI organized an online interaction “Alumni Talk Series” on the topic “Individual Tax Planning in India and Why & How Communication is vital for your growth in any industry” on April 28th, 2021 through Google Meet platform. The speaker of this program was Mr. Ankit Ravindra Jain, Inspector at Income Tax Department, Josh Talk Speaker, an alumnus (Batch 2009-11) of MERI College. The following topics were discussed during the interaction: What is tax planning? What are the various methods of tax planning and its types. Also how communication is important for one’s growth in any industry. How communication makes things work perfect? The participants took an active part in the programme.
The Department of Management at MERI organized an online interaction “Alumni Talk Series” on the topic “Cultural Way of Managing Organizations” on May 1st, 2021 through Google Meet platform. The speaker of this program was Mr. Rahul Bhatnagar, Organization Change Management Consultant, Tech Mahindra, an alumnus (Batch 2008-10) of MERI College. The interaction was designed to guide and educate the students about effective change management.
MERI organized an online interaction “Alumni Talk Series” on the topic “How Analytics is transforming the business” on May 8th, 2021 through Google Meet platform. The speaker of this program was Mr. Dharuv Suri, Data Analyst, Genpact, an alumnus (Batch 2017-19) of MERI College. The following topics were discussed during the interaction: What are Data Analytics and Business Analytics? How Data analytics is changing the business nowadays. What are the various tools? The practical exposure was also given to students by using software.
The Management Department of MERI organized an online interaction “Alumni Talk Series” on the topic “Basics Of Investment” on May 13th, 2021 through Google Meet platform. The speaker of this program was Mr. Lalit Sukhija, Manager- Training with ITM Edutech Training Pvt Ltd, an alumnus (Batch 2006-08) of MERI College. The students gained insights on the investment and how to allocate money with the expectation as a positive benefit in future.
MERI organized an online interaction “Alumni Talk Series” on the topic “Loans and Investment Industry- Crisis Or/And Opportunity” on May 17th, 2021 through Google Meet platform. The speaker of this program was Mr. Girish Gulabani, Area Head-AVP, IIFL Finance, an alumnus (Batch 2008-10) of MERI College. The speaker talked about the how Loan and Investment industry works. What are the various investments, how crypto currency works and also what are the various opportunities with this industry are.
The Management Department of MERI organized an online interaction “Alumni Talk Series” on the topic “Positive Psychology: The Science Of Happiness” on May 29th, 2021 through Google Meet from 03:00PM-04:00 PM. The speaker of this program was Mr. Kanishka Mallick, HR General Manager, Times Internet, Certified Pychology and Mental Health Trainer. The speaker discussed about happiness; pleasure, comfort, gratitude, hope, and inspiration are examples of positive emotions that increase our happiness and move us to flourish.
