BA(Journalism and Mass Communication)

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication is going to established in this year 2019 in the Faculty of Arts. It will run a 3-year (six semesters) BJMC course with a provision for specialization and a mandatory 8-10 weeks of internship programme. The departmental library has more than 600 hundred titles. It has a computer laboratory (Editing Lab) of 30 systems with Internet connectivity. The departmental film library has more than 200 CDs and DVDs of classical films. It has the state of the art equipment for TV and radio programme production. the Institute has emerged as a national center of excellence which offers under-graduate program  in Journalism and Mass Communication(BJMC).

Institute has succeeded in articulating and disseminating classical and contemporary theories of praxis for the creative minds to leap into the world of professional practice: be it mainstream, parallel, art-house, experimental or non-fiction narratives. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA & INTAKE OF BA(JMC)

Pass in 12th class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* and must also have passed English (core or elective or functional) as a subject.The sanctioned intake is 120.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE of BA(JMC) 

Admission based on written exam conducted centrally by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University ( IPU ), Delhi. Based on their ranks in the written test, students are admitted to various Institutes through counseling sessions conducted by the IPU.
