The world is continuously changing & one of the major drivers for this change is digital transformation .Digitization is not only about internet, it is about using the latest technology to perform the task better. Digital economy is the economic activity that results from billions of everyday online connections among people, businesses, devices, data & processes. The backbone of digital economy is hyper connectivity which means growing interconnectedness of people, organisations & machines that result from internet, mobile technology and the internet of things (IOT). Professor Walter Brenner of the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland states: “The aggressive use of data is transforming business models, facilitating new product & services, creating new processes, generating greater utility & ushering in a new culture of management”. Digital technologies have disrupted value chains, organizational structures, operational processes and revenue models. Organizations like Uber, Air BNB and Net Flix has completely revolutionised the way business are done. The major challenge of digitization is not technology but the infrastructure development and regulations. Digital economy will change the way economic values are created.
