M.E.R.I SIGNS AN MOU WITH “N+I” NETWORK OF FRENCH ENGINEERING INSTITUTES.

NEW DELHI , 6th December 2012– The M.E.R.I. group of Institutions (M.E.R.I.) and the “n+i” network of French Engineering Institutes have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Academic and Research exchange in New Delhi on 5th December 2012. The MoU covers student, faculty exchange, joint research & collaboration in various disciplines of engineering. The MoU was signed by Chairman, M.E.R.I. group of Institutions Shri. I.P.Aggarwal & Executive Director, “n+i” network, Prof. Jean Pierre Trotignon, in the presence of Mr. Max Claudet, Director of Institut Francais(IF), India, Ms. Caroline Guény-Mentré , Attaché for Scientific and University Cooperation ,India, Prof. D. K. Bandyopadhyay, Vice-Chancellor of G.G.S.Indraprastha University, Prof. Raj Senani ,Director NSIT, Prof. Lalit Aggarwal , Vice President M.E.R.I group of institutions , Prof. V.K.Kapoor, Director , M.E.R.I.-CET, Prof. Y.L.Grover, Director General, M.E.R.I, Shri. S.K.Aggarwal, Chief Financial Officer, M.E.R.I, Prof. A.K. Aggarwal, Dean, M.E.R.I., French embassy delegates, faculty members of French engineering institute and M.E.R.I group and students.

“n+i” Engineering Network is a non-profit making association, representing all French Engineering Institutes under the Ministry of French Higher Education.The “n+i” Network links together 70+ Graduate Engineering Schools and other engineering training programmes in all areas of engineering . The “n+i” Network is a unique interlocutor that represents more than 30, 000 student engineers of which 7000 graduate each year and there are 250 research laboratories spread over 40 cities and 18 Regions of France.
After the signing ceremony there was an active interaction between the students and the faculty members of French engineering institutes. The students were very keen to know about the scope of higher studies in France. The event was a grand success.
