MERI Cultural Club

Cultural club of MERI is responsible for all the cultural events in the Institute around the year. MERI cultural club strives to bring out the hidden talent of the students of the college. It is the place where students can showcase what they have got. It helps to discover their talent. Cultural events include competitions such as instrumental, singing, dance etc. Every year this club organizes activities such as Talent Hunt, Fresher’s Party, Farewell, Fest and Alumni Meet. Cultural club also celebrates festivals such as Holi, Republic Day, Lohri etc which creates a vibrant atmosphere.

The competitive academic environment and co-curricular activities on campus keep the students on their toes. But everyone needs some time off, to relax and recharge. Cultural Club at MERI is the best place for this.

Every year this club looks for active participation of students from various courses in cultural activities which results in enhancement of the personal skills and experiences like confidence, self-presentation; teamwork and collaboration, time management and organizational skills, self-awareness, self-discipline, open-mindedness to move beyond boundaries and experiment with different ideas, communication skills, the ability to cope with criticism and learn from them resulting in a whole new developed, changed and an improved person.

Teachers Day Celebration 2023

TALENT HUNT 2021:

Talent hunt was organized by Cultural club of Management Education and Research Institute. Students from different departments showcased their talent.With the help of this event we want to bring out the hidden talent of new comers to the fore.

Event started with opening remarks by Vice President, MERI Prof. Lalit Aggarwal. He addressed the audience and told the importance of organizing such events.

These events help to remove the fear of stage among students, which helps in personality development.

Fifty students of all the courses i.e. BBA, BJMC, MBA, BCOM participated enthusiastically in the event.

REPUBLIC DAY 2021 “Jashan-e-Hind”:

Jashan-e-hind was a Pre-Republic Day event organized by the cultural club of Management Education and Research Institute on 25th January 2021. Students from many other departments manifested their talent. The day when our constitution came into effect as a governing document in India hence the day is honored as the Republic day. Due to Covid19, the celebration of the auspicious occasion happened virtually through Facebook.

Event opened with opening remarks of Vice President, MERI Prof. Lalit Aggarwal addressed the audience and highlighted the relevance of the constitution and its unique features such as sovereign, social, secular etc. followed by an address of Chief Guest Mr. Vinod Kevin Bachan who graced the audience with his mesmerizing dance performance and apprised about the importance of Indian culture, Indian values.

Students of MERI Group of Institutions performed various performances (kuchipudi, hiphop, free style) with the theme patriotism, giving a glimpse of diversity and unity of the nation which was judged by Mr. Kevin Bachan. In dance competition, Himanshi of MBA stood first and Ishika Tanwar of PLI stood second. Students also showed their creativity through collage making competition, wherein they depicted the warmth of patriotism. Students from various department participated in the event and winners for the collage making were Ayushi Gera of BAJMC and Sarleen of BBA(1st and 2nd position). The program ended with the vote of thanks from Prof. Anil Aggarwal, Dean with the message to create a great nation through collective efforts from all individuals.

ONLINE KARAOKE” CONTEST 2020

Cultural Club of MERI organized Online Karaoke Contest through virtual platform. The students were asked to send their karaoke videos and were uploaded on social media platforms. The judgement were on the basis of number of likes.

Based on the judgement, Janhavi Balodi of BBA 2019-22 batch stood 1st Position. Aishwarya Krishnan of B.TECH MERI CET stood 2nd position. Sushant Raina of BBA 2018-21 batch stood 3rd position.

TEACHER’S DAY 2020

This year also, for making the teachers feel special, the students of MERI decided to celebrate Teacher’s day. As to go on with the current pandemic situation, the Teachers Day celebration was done virtually through Zoom. The programme was held on 5th September 2020. Teacher’s day ceremony opened with the inaugural speech of our honorable Prof. Lalit Aggarwal, Vice President, MERI Group Of Institutions.

A video compilation of photos of teachers was played followed by performance of Sushant Raina BBA 2018-21 which was followed by beautiful speech given by the students of MERI. Students also awarded titles to all the faculties of MERI.
